Log Your Memory

Are you wanting to start scrapping for real? Love your pretty pages, but feel like they need more depth and insight into your life? Me too! And I've found the place to help me do it! Log Your Memory is the new site that I mentioned in a previous post. It really is a super-supportive little community, focused on incorporating the stories of your real life into your beautiful scrapping.
Kristin at Log Your Memory has just launched the first workshop to be held starting November 2nd. 'The Gift of the Year 2010' will have you creating a special calendar for a loved one to enjoy the whole year round. Check out the details here.
I have been enjoying the everyday chatter that goes on with the nice girls over there, but the thing I love is that we are then encouraged to take our stories to our pages. For example, a recent forum discussion about the best gift we have received turned into a fun challenge. Here's what I made, I used stuff from three paper peonies

I hope to see you there!

Timeless Fall by Hazel Olive

I answered a call for 'on call' artists for this fab designer, who has been guesting at one of my favourite places, Pixel Canvas. Ashlee accepted me, and my first order of business has been to work with this amazing kit:

If you are like me, and love your papers textured and your elements original and realistic, you will love this. I've done two of my favourite layouts of late with this one, heavy on the journalling.

The 'real me' layout is for a challenge at a brand spankin place called 'Log Your Memory'. It's all about creating memory-rich pages, and I am loving it over there. Go check it out:

It's a new beginning by Ninie designs

It truly is! Ninie invited me to join her CT recently- of course I accepted! Here is her first kit that I have worked with. I really enjoyed it- the textures on the papers are great, especially the corrugated card.
Here are my pages:

Ninie also has some fab products in the big sale at The French Frog:

change by three paper peonies

One of my favourite places to visit right now is the blog of Jaime Choi, very super talented designer (and scrapper!). If you haven't been to look at her blog, get over there- it's full of inspirational challenges and fabulous freebies! Here is her latest Itty Bitty (free!) called Change:
I entered her challenge based on this kit, and came up with:
I am so in love with Jaime's designs. Here are a couple of pages I did with some of her other Itty Bitties:

Organic Baby by ViVa Artistry

Aaawwww, such gorgeousness! I love this kit from Vanessa and Vivie, so soft and pretty without being too mushy. I enjoyed creating my kind of pages with this lovely kit:

O'Natural No 1 by JJ Scrapping

A really gorgeous kit by Jen. I enjoyed the quiet colours with the splash of red. Here are some pages I made:

this one is using a photo that my Poppi sent to my Nanna during WWII. He was training before heading over to Papua New Guinea. I used his writing on the back of the photo, too.
